Mr. Shamil Tissera, a Singaporean with over 12 years of industry experience leads SD Design as the Principal Design and Project Engineer. He founded the company in 2014 with a clear vision to provide innovative, precise, and client-focused solutions in MEP engineering and 3D visualization. Under his leadership, SD Design has grown from a startup sole proprietorship in Singapore into a trusted provider of high-quality MEP drawings and visual design solutions for residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments.

His professional journey began in 2009 at Seagate Singapore International Headquarters Pte Ltd, where he worked as an Engineering Specialist. There, he specialized in automation, machine vision, and robotics, building a strong technical foundation. During this time, he also pursued his passion for MEP engineering, leading to the establishment of SD Design. In 2021, he made the decision to leave Seagate and fully commit to the growth of SD Design.

Since its inception, SD Design has successfully delivered over 7,500 MEP engineering drawings and more than 15,000 3D visualization solutions to clients across Singapore, Australia, Malaysia, Thailand, Dubai & Sri Lanka. Known for combining technical accuracy with creative design, Mr. Shamil ensures that each project is tailored to meet the specific needs of the client. His forward-thinking approach includes services like express one-day design delivery for urgent projects and unlimited design revisions, ensuring clients feel confident and involved every step of the way.

Mr. Shamil Tissera holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Northumbria University, a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) from the University of South Australia, and a Diploma in Mechatronics (specializing in Automation) from Temasek Polytechnic. His commitment to innovation, quality, and client satisfaction continues to drive SD Design’s success as a leading name in the engineering and design industry.

Mrs. Dharshani Dayananda, a Permanent Resident of Singapore, is a dedicated Human Resource professional with over nine years of experience in HR operations, recruitment, payroll, and administrative support. Since joining SD Design in 2016, she has played a vital role in strengthening the company’s HR systems, enhancing internal processes, and fostering a supportive, compliant, and people centric work environment. Her deep understanding of HR practices, combined with her ability to multitask and manage complex responsibilities, makes her an integral part of the management team.

She holds a Master of Science in Global Human Resource Management (MSc) from the University of Roehampton, London, and a Professional Qualification in Human Resource Management (PQHRM) from the Institute of Personnel Management, Sri Lanka. As a Singapore Permanent Resident, she brings both international academic insight and local industry experience to her role, enabling her to align HR strategies with SD Design’s vision for growth and employee development.

Earlier in her career, she worked at the Aitken Spence Group of Companies in Sri Lanka from 2007 to 2011, serving as a Junior Executive in the Outbound Department. It was during this time that she discovered a strong interest in organizational development and human resource management prompting her transition into the HR field, where she continues to thrive and contribute meaningfully.
